July: What a Month for Oyster Tastings!

Dear Friends, Customers, and Readers,

It may seem small, but after July’s close I feel like we’ve done something really big. Through an action-packed month of guided tastings, tours, and heaps of fresh oysters, we accomplished the first two steps in our “proof of concept” goals: a busy month and a baseline from which to grow.

July was our first “full” operating month in Maine hosting expert-guided oyster tastings and farm tours. It was a critical time to show that we had a lot to offer both Mainers and visitors alike. We hosted a guided tasting almost every day of the month, in addition to our farm tours.

We are also receiving incredibly positive feedback on Google and TripAdvisor, which we hope infers that there is strong demand for more intimate culinary experiences here in Maine. Not only do these events create memorable dining moments for our guests, but they also allow us to celebrate and promote a carbon net-negative fishery that will sustain Maine’s future.
