Join us for a private shucking class in the seaside tasting lounge. Learn how to shuck oysters harvested directly from the farm.
Captain Joe will guide you through this age-old skill and teach you all about Maine's thriving oyster farming culture as you lookout over Carrying Place Island.
After the oysters, we will steam up some locally caught lobsters so you can learn how to make a traditional lobster roll.

Every morning, Captain Greg and Captain Herbie leave our dock to haul and set up to 400 traps in Casco Bay, bringing back freshly caught Maine lobsters straight to your plate!

Captain Joe Jerome
MEET YOUR GUIDE
Joe is a Registered Maine Guide, a Master Captain, and shellfish aquaculture expert. He also offers fishing charters in Maine, and works for the Basin Oyster Project teaching K-12 groups about shellfish reef regeneration.
Joe has a lifelong passion for chasing stripers and crabs along the East Coast, and knows his way around the rugged islands and shorelines of Maine.

You'll find Captain Joe waiting for you inside the tasting lounge, the gray dockside building as you head down the hill! There's a small parking lot next to the lounge. Enjoy breathtaking views of the neighborhood's coastline and working waterfront!
